Volunteer Testimonials

“Everyone in the team was super nice, I think the RUOK group has created a genuinely caring and nice community and you know that you’re going to have a positive interaction, no matter who you talk to in the group :)”

“Volunteering with the Are you OK team hands down trumps any other role I’ve ever had in work (and I’ve been lucky to have some great jobs). It has been the highlight of my university experience so far and has provided some real clarity for myself around what kind of work I want to be doing in the future. You have to be a weird kind of person to be getting your gloves covered in vomit and simultaneously thinking ‘I’m so glad I’m doing this, this is awesome’, so I’m glad I’ve found my people.”

“People assume that we must be having a tricky or rough night when we’re out volunteering. But of all the years I have been at uni, this has genuinely been my best O-week :)” – Ori’23
